Toastmasters offers many opportunities to grow!
Come to a Toastmasters' meeting to experience the friendly environment. You will be greeted warmly and encouraged to participate. Soon you will feel more comfortable and want to experience the pleasure of public speaking. Barrie-Huronia Toastmasters meets every Thursday at 7:00 pm ET. The first and third Thursday are a virtual meetings held on Zoom. The second and fourth (starting in September) will be hybrid meetings with the in person portion at Coldwell Banker Board Room 284 Dunlop St. W. Barrie, ON.
Our weekly meetings will help you advance quickly as a speaker and leader. The program is designed to build skills and confidence. You will begin to love the stage and look for places to speak. Visit us soon to get started.

Opportunities to Speak
Each meeting there are spots for members to present prepared speeches, but there are many more opportunities to participate.
Table Topics
Everyone has the opportunity to do an impromptu speech at every meeting. This skill is helpful for job interviews, sales representatives and leadership roles.
Evaluations
Member who present speeches will receive a helpful evaluation to help them improve their skills for their next project. Member learn to become evaluators as well.
Education
Our club has a designated time for members to share their knowledge about speaking and leadership. This provides both leaders and members to enhance their skills.

Barrie-Huronia Toastmasters meets every Thursday at 7:00 pm ET. We are a hybrid club in Ontario Canada. We hold in person meetings on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. On the first and third Thursday, we meet virtually.
This will give you experience as a speaker on line and in-person. Since Covid, many meetings and interviews have moved to a virtual format, so it is important that you learn to do your best in both formats.
Our in-person meetings are held at Coldwell Banker Board Room, 284 Dunlop St. W. in Barrie. Our virtual meeting are on zoom. Our Toastmasters club is 24 years old and has some very experienced members. We also have members from Japan and Australia. Come as a guest to enjoy an evening of fun. Leadership opportunities are also a prominent feature.
